We love the people and organisations we work with.

We’ve been lucky to deliver marketing services, communication plans, workshops, planning days and more to a number of well-known clients.

World Vision

Working as a communications consultant for leading international charity, World Vision, Rhonda worked with the global marketing and engagement team to provide communication solutions to revitalise child sponsorship.

A broad role, this included strategic communication within the Partnership, working with colleagues around the world to help provide content solutions (re-purposing existing content), and knowledge management. A significant project Rhonda led was the content gathering and re-purposing for a large internal campaign for child sponsorship, including complex briefing with photographers, re-creating an online learning platform and more.

Salvos Stores

Meaningful Communications partnered with the marketing team at Salvos Stores – a not-for-profit chain of second-hand stores – to identify and profile their target audiences, and analyse how they thought and behaved. Then, we considered how best to communicate to improve their customer’s online and offline experience. We worked with the team to maximise their in-house efforts to compliment their agency relationship, so that they could reach their longer-term strategic goals faster and more efficiently.

This consultancy included creating a marketing plan, defining key messages, writing a content and social media strategy, SEO keyword analysis and website recommendations, as well as working with the team through a tender process for a new creative agency.

Not-for-profit marketing
Rhonda was an absolute pleasure to work with, she was a constant support to me during her time with Salvos Stores and was always available to provide professional advice. She provided us with a really comprehensive understanding on the current state of our website, ways in which we could optimise this for search and recommendations on future needs. We continue to refer back to the work she did for us over a year later.

La Trobe University

La Trobe Learning and Teaching appointed Meaningful Communications to help with a series of communication needs. These ranged from communication plans, key messages and positioning, change management communications and internal communications recommendations. This helped the university department clearly position themselves (internally and externally) as a university that is moving with the market and providing students with truly worthy experiences.

Working on a series of communications plans for the Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor's office to support the delivery of strategic initiatives, including delivery for the employability project (Career Ready) was also a key area of assistance.

Communications for educational institutions
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) portfolio contracted Meaningful Communications to support our communications strategies on a range of whole-of-institution strategic projects related to online learning, teaching quality, student satisfaction and graduate outcomes. Rhonda and her team provided comprehensive communications planning and stakeholder engagement strategies that allowed us to successfully deliver projects that will provide great benefit to our students and staff. — Grant Kennet, Senior Advisor to Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academic & Alison Gilmore, Operations Manager for La Trobe Teaching & Learning
I was lucky enough to work with Meaningful Communications on a large strategic initiative in 2016. We had an array of complex stakeholders who required differing levels of targeted communication. It was difficult to know where to start… We engaged Meaningful Communications to assist us with this huge piece of work and it was a fantastic decision. They helped us to plot how, when and what we’d deliver to who, and their efforts meant that our projects received the attention we needed them to. I’m not sure how we would have gotten our messages across without the team, I’d happily recommend Meaningful to anyone. Thank you.

The consultancy included the creation of key messages, website content creation, brand identity advice and content creation. Most work was done remotely from Australia, with the exception of video content which was done in Jordan.

The work done with Response Innovation Lab supported them to connect with audiences, and gain momentum before the next disaster strikes. You can find out more about them here.

Profile Systems

philanthropic advice |corporate social responsibility

Profile Systems is a commercial furniture supplier targeting designers and in-house infrastructure teams for large-scale office fit-outs. Meaningful Communications worked with the experienced team at Profile Systems to understand their audience before creating a new website  - a simpler, warmer website than their previous text-heavy site.

The new Profile Systems website is now better placed for organic search optimisation, and user experience.

As a part of understanding their brand identity, we found that the team at Profile Systems really wanted to make a difference and share their successes with less fortunate communicate. We provided them information and recommendations of how they could make a meaningful impact in an impoverished community in The Phillipines. The support they have provided has already been life-changing, especially to the children in that community. Financial support has enabled the creation of critical infrastructure - such as providing access to clean water -for this community. You can see more about their philanthropic work here.

In line with being consultative, friendly and approachable the logo and colour palette was changed from a heavy black text, to the charcoal grey elements you can see on their site.

Nepal Innovation Lab
with World Vision

COMmunications plan

Nepal Earthquake Response housed an innovation lab to foster ideas that could be utilised in the recovery phase of the response, and take ideas in a live environment to help provide timely, life-saving applications for the next large scale humanitarian disaster. The lab required a communications consultant to identify a short-term communications plan from a detailed strategy report while the response was in transition phase; then, a long term communications plan when the new reality was in place.
